Opening Ceremony’s fall lookbook is online and layering is a key part of the styling. With a mish-mosh of lengths and textures the look remains new bohemian, updated with fabrics like velour, fur and lace. I can’t layer to save my life (especially dichotomous layering when one pairs a flowery summer frock with a fur coat), but I do like the furry shoes, especially the ones featuring peep toes!

Lori Earley’s paintings mix realism and a sense of distortion that allows her subjects to still look like women but with a slight ”other world” quality. And then , there is the young artists ability to illustrate emotions in the eyes of her subjects a skill we cannot help but applaud. Gucci‘s ‘Sigrid’ heel, with it’s boned palladium hardware, leather and cord, is both sporty and futuristic.
