It has to have feeling in it, it has to tell me something, speak about something, it has to be an expression of something.
Sometimes it can be brutal, others it can be about falling in love, or even falling out of love…Images are doorways to different stories, and the most important thing is the influence that images have over us, the power they have to move us, to feel whatever the artist was feeling at that particular moment, in that particular place. To me, photography is an artist’s soul translated into a visual image.
Music is one of the most relevant elements when it comes to create, it’s the perfect catalyst. I began taking pictures for the record label I currently work for, Sadness Records, where I met Dietrich, a music band that led me to throw myself entirely into this. There’s something about music, its context, the lighting effects, the adrenaline, everything that makes it hard for me to picture myself without a camera in my hand, as if it were somewhat of an extension of my body. It’s a connection that goes beyond words.
I can’t imagine a world without art. It’s an expression, a manifestation of oneself. I think art is renewing itself, and people are finally allowing themselves to get lost in that game.
Art is already a part of our DNA and you must never forget to express yourself.
I just let myself go, and I’m constantly in free falling. My pictures are fragments of my being, driven by my inspiration, that comes from my friends, my love, Dietrich, my family, nature, words, music. Whenever I look at one of my photos I can find a piece of me in each and every single one of them.
Something different about my work: color, light and the passion for capturing a raw moment. I always allow myself to play, because by playing i often get the best pictures, and I always trust nature, nature lifts you up. Wrapping up, my photos are my very own reflection, they are unique and unrepeatable.

STRAIGHT FROM ANOTHER GALAXY: Katy Perry’s Extraterrestrial Make-Up
Katy Perry’s new video, just like her song lyrics suggest, is cosmically incredible and magically magnetic as we can see Perry slowly floating away right in the middle of nothing, looking marvelously dazzling.
The real star of this music video might be the make-up ensemble that Katie magnificently shows, and even though somehow there’s a reminiscence of Christina Aguilera’s make up in ‘Fighter’, this one is even more eccentric and exotic, almost sci-fi movie like. The artist behind the brush, in this case, is the famous and recognized Kabuki, whose celebrity work includes no less than Lady Gaga, and has done a magnificent job at several magazine covers and photoshoots.
Kanye’s collaboration certainly adds a cool and urban touch to the whole music video, pretty hard to match or top even. So, on the whole, great song, great video, and killer make-up!
